 Citroen Berlingo Multispace - 01 1.9d painted rear windows - zookeeper
hi room , been off air for a while moved house, any way i bought a berlingo van for SWMBO to potter around in but the rear door windows have been blacked out (coated on the inside panes ) could you tell me the best way to remove it without too much damage , i was thinking of using a stanley blade and a solvent of sorts ..meths..thanks again ...zoo

Is it a film (think tinted clingfilm) applied to the inside of the windows?

If so, use a blade to 'pick up' a corner and peel it off.

If it is actual paint, you might find it easier to remove the glass and tackle the job on a bench... or source a clear pair of windows from a breaker's.

If it's an adhesive film, depending on the adhesive used, you might want to consider cellulose thinners or lighter fuel as a solvent, if meths doesn't work. But be careful - cellulose thinners will dissolve some plastics and paint. It goes without saying that both are highly - I mean highly - flammable, and give off fumes. Don't use them inside the van on a hot day.
