I've been given one of these: www.amazon.co.uk/HD-VEHICLE-RECORDER-SPORT-CAMERA/dp/B005Q6CJI4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

No SD card. It says it'll support up to 64 GB SD card.

Has anyone got the same, who can offer advice please?

I don't want to fork out any more than I have to, only to have it fail (the revues aren't too good).

I have the exact same one.I have a 2gb card installed which gives you about 50 minutes recording.Once the camera reaches the end of the 50 minutes it starts recording over the beginning so therefore you always have the previous 50 minutes available.
Obviously larger cards will offer more time.
The camera is fantastic with good colour resolution and sound.
I paid £24 delivered off Ebay from China.
Plug it in,you'll be impressed!.

50 minutes with 2GB sounds good enough.

Thanks, it'll save me forking out more than necessary.

You should have gone to Argos and borrowed a camera for 30 days to film the happy event instead of using one of these ;o)
