 Reputable franchised car dealers - L'escargot
I'd like to suggest that we have a section devoted to members giving details of franchised car dealers from which they have received good service ~ sales (both new and used), service, spare parts etc. Name and acclaim.

I had an Accord from Livery Dole in Exeter and had excellent service. I've just checked and to my amazement it was 26 years ago. This is beginning to niggle at me...

Hindmarch Peugeot in Stamford Lincs. Small family run dealer with excellent service

Victor Wood Grantham, was Rover now Kia. Large dealer but still give personal service. Workshop Manager, Steve Pulley has been there 15+ years

Colin Easson Ford in Cottesmore, another small family run dealership. Excellent service

To make real use of this data, it needs to be consolidated and presented in Excel (or delimited text) format.

Otherwise it would be difficult to scan each post and trying to figure out which is nearer to me and services my car's manufacturer etc.

Surely for most people there is little choice in franchised dealers. There is only normally one or two at most in striking distance so there's not much point in a guide

Giving one of the franchised dealers a good recommendation might put someone's mind at rest and save them from going to an incompetent non-franchised garage.

I would certainly want to be able to compare experience at the various franchised dealers around me. I bought my Mazda from one, but after experiencing their aftersales, I've started taking it to another.

Barons BMW of Farnborough are excellent. They do a collect / deliver service within a reasonable radius, and are very good at keeping you informed as things progress. You deal with one person from start to finish, and they always call you when promised. The car is also returned immaculate inside and out afterwards, and no issues at all with their work. You also get a courtesy call a day or two afterwards to check all is well.

Used them twice now (service on my 318d, and warranty repair on my 320d). Happy to recommend them.
