Serious route planning needed if you are in or transiting the areas.
Motorways and A3 are exempt.

No way into, or out of, our road on 4 Aug. Luckily we'll be away but son will have to park his car a mile away the night before so he can get to work on the day.

As a one off for the games it was ok, but I hope this crap idea dies out this year, its a right PITA.

IIRC there is a push to make it an annual event

wont happen, this one will be a flop, people will moan, and there is a LOT of money living alongside the route, This will be still born,

Totally agree that one-off closures for a worldwide once-in-a-lifetime event like the Olympics was absolutely worth it. However the hassle and inconvenience being imposed by a small minority on thousands of non-interested residents throughout SW London and Surrey is just not on. And the thought of it becoming an annual event will surely cause the peasants to revolt.

As Zero says there will be minimal public interest and the thing will die a death. We get enough hassle from cyclists every weekend on Surrey roads without Bojo and his cronies trying to make it worse!

We will be pretty much prisoners in our own home. Charming!
