Apparently this was put in place as local businesses were having lots of burglaries from non local residents in white ford transits.

I am not sure if these cameras are disproportionate though.
I believe they did reduce crime.

I must admit that I used to be blase about the use of CCTV/ANPR, but now I am much less inclined to believe that the data collected will always be used properly and proportionately.

What if a member of the Lords decides he wants to know the movements of a driver he disapproves of?
