Do designers think it's clever to print things that way. Presumably the man wants his answers read !

Assuming you are right handed Ted use the select button on your mouse and drag it down over the text you can't read, it will change to a default blue background/white text unless you've changed the colours.
By his responses he wants to be remembered as a racing driver and not a marketing director's wet dream.
