I think I've mentioned before the MaccyD's at M1/J29A - Markham - as an alternative to the official MSA's.

They've now been joined by filling station with branches of Greggs, Starbucks, Spar Supermarket and other facilities.

Fuel (Shell) is at broadly local prices - 134.9p/ltr for diesel yesterday. Maybe not quite as cheap as Asda but much, much less than up the road at Woodall services and same as Sainsbury in Northampton.

They have dropped onto a really good (and visible) location for an 'unofficial' services on the M1 at Markham Vale there.
