Hyundai - Safer, or just making us lazy - mikeyb
Came across this Hyundai video.

Done as a stunt, but interesting demonstration of new car technology

Bah. I do wish the market would stick to one acronym. What they call smart cruise almost everyone else calls adaptive cruise, which has been available for years on some cars. Indeed, it's standard on a Golf mk 7 in SE spec or higher. Hyundai are really late to that party.

Lkas is a standard acronym at least.

Lots will hate it. I'd like to have it but it's nearly always a very expensive option so in the secondhand market it's tricky to find.

If LKAS is Lane Key Assist then on some cars it actively tries to keep you in lane if you don't indicate, i.e. does some steering. On Mazda 6's it just make a noise like going over a rumble strip through the speakers.

I recall one, so called, motoring journalist constantly confusing FWD (which they referred to as Four-Wheel-Drive).

In my book it's FWD, RWD, 4WD or even AWD (if there's more than two driven axles).
