 Honda Jazz/Fit - Help valuing a car - Mapmaker
2005 Honda Jazz (2002-09) 5dr hatchback 1.4i DSI SE CVT-7 Auto Rev 04

Cost new £11,365. Done 41900 miles.

Any idea what this is worth? A look on Autotrader suggests a dealer might ask a bit over 3k for it. Webuyanycar have offered 2300.

What car free valuation suggests trade price £3000, dealer £3500.

Anybody any views? Thanks.

Parkers

Guide * Adjusted

Original PriceMore info £11,400
Franchised DealerMore info £2,750
Independent DealerMore info £2,470
Private GoodMore info £2,305
Private PoorMore info £1,910
Part ExchangeMore info £2,080

Check the CVT changes carefully. Any slipping, noises, anything untoward? run away...They MUST have 40k oil changes withe the CORRECT oil.

IIRC the mileage adjustment will be 9 years x £45 = Approx £400 so add.. to Franchised dealer = £3,150..

So IF it's immaculate with FSH £3,500 is TOPS.

Bearing in mind WBAC will auction it, then the difference between the two prices barely seems realistic as a trader has to buy at auction and then stand behind the car in the event of any problem.

Got same issue trying to offload daughter's 2007 Mitsubishi Colt. WBAC offer is £1100, but they list on Autotrader for anything from £1500 to just over £3K. I've really no idea what the "right" price is.

Really? In which case, might as well send it to auction. Or, TBH, eBay it.

It was founded by the brothers who used to own Carcraft, but was sold to British Car Auctions a while ago.

Like our Colt mentioned above, dealer resale prices for Jazzii similar to yours seem to vary from a bit over £2K to £4500 - a heck of a range. Who knows where the right price is but it must be tough to sell privately once you start over-lapping dealer prices.

According to the Honda dealer taking our Colt, it's dropped £50 this month apparently, so is now only worth £1150. :(
