 Toyota Yaris/Peugeot 208 - bathtub tom
I'm thinking of getting rid of my old Almera for a Yaris, it passed it's MOT today and SWMBO would like a smaller car. Asked the tester for their opinion of a Yaris and they seemed to think it was a 208 with a different badge!

I've compared the two and I think he's wrong.

I'm suspicious of French electrics, but like the boring reliability of Japanese motors.

Any comments?

Chalk and cheese.

If a Yaris, do NOT buy an automated manual (MMT). They are pants.

Toyota Aygo is the twin of Peugeot 107/Citroen C1 - built in same factory

Models have different specs in the finer details but essentially its the same car with slightly different bonnets, grills and badges

Yaris and 208 have nothing in common other than they are made in France (mostly - IIRC some early Yarisii (circa 2000) could be Japanese/Japanese rather than Franch/Japanese.

Just read the wiki entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_208

Quite impressed its 110kg lighter than the 207. I like it
