Company car Vol 2 - Focusless
You may remember the somewhat lengthy (~300 post) discussion from last year:

Well it should be shorter this time:

:)

Basically it's what we'd decided on last time - A3 1.4TFSI Sport with the 150ps engine and manual box. It's on a 3 year lease, which maxed out my allowance - could have gone for S-line spec over 4 years but decided on the Sport over the shorter period.

No extra-cost bells and whistles apart from the mid-range audio (sub in the boot). But the delivery man spent ages explaining the more important options available through the menu system so I think there'll be enough to play with.

Haven't actually driven it yet! Popping out at lunch time to pick up a missed postal delivery, so we'll see how it goes then...

I think the A3 looks great in red, when it's clean... I like it!

It's only 'brilliant' red = solid. But I can claim up to 2 car washes per month on expenses apparently so that should help :)

Yes, brilliant red looks, well, brilliant! Did try and persuade my mother to go with red for hers (no sure what trim level she's gone for, but can guarantee its not S Line!) but she's gone with no colour at all; oops, I mean grey :)

And expensable car washes sounds perfect to me - never had the luxury :(

Looks nice. Proper colour too. Enjoy

Ah, about the only thing I ended up enjoying working at the TLA was when the new co car arrived.

Enjoy

Fab ! Hope you enjoy it.

I like red cars. I had a red Westfield once you know...

;-)

A Westfield you say?

;)

Yes indeed, I'll tell you all about it one day. Must have slipped my mind.

Lovely day for driving a Westfield mind...down here at least :)

:) Actually it was Download at Donnington, where stepson's band were playing. But he's gone from metal drummer to coffee shop (co-)owner :(

Enjoy the new car. I got the mid-range audio upgrade. It's not just a sub-woofer you get extra in the boot. You get more speakers (including one in the middle of the dashboard) and a more powerful amplifier.

I wonder if a copy of an SD card with sat nav/maps on it would work for sat nav... I'm guessing not.
