Hyundai Elantra - It lives on... - legacylad
In the land of the free! The new, to me at least, Elantra is very popular here in Northern California, especially in hatchback form. The main drivers seem to be younger females, well, under 30, and it is quite pleasing on the eye. I have no idea on build quality, handling etc, but if it has a long manufacturers warranty I'm not surprised it's popular.
In the UK I think the name was last used several years ago

I saw one for sale at a very reasonable price a few years ago (An Elantra, not a female under 30) and would have been seriously tempted had it not been an auto. Someone here at the time had one and they are apparently very nice cars to own and drive, let down by the fact that the front brakes are inboard of the suspension and very expensive to replace.
