hi long time since i was here .hope everyones good
if poss i would like some suggestions for a car purchase
i want something reliable ..cheap to run etc etc
my budget is max 5k
any ideas thanks

Toyota - Avensis or Ear according to how much back seat you need. Boring, but it won't go wrong. Just remembered that the Avensis is a saloon these days but I wouldn't let that put me off.

But at £5000 aren't we into age-and-condition territory?

Something Japanese /Korean with a petrol engine would be my recommendation. Personally I would stay away from any VAG product that was out of manufacture's warranty as they are nowhere as reliable these days as their marketing department appear to be able to fool the public they are !

Nice mota the Mazda 3. I was gonna get one before I got the Lancer but the dealerman I used to get my cars from didn't come up with the goods in time.

perxactly - hence my skoda shout.

Avoid the 1.8 petrol...there's problems with the engine on that model.

thanks for the suggestions..more than likely plump for a civic or a jazz...a jazz has just appeared on the forecourt at a family run dealer on sapcote rd burbage..going to have a look later
