Chris Amon RIP - Armel Coussine
Very talented but unlucky Kiwi racing driver. He partnered Bruce McLaren to win the 1966 Le Mans race, but otherwise was a successful also-ran in classic and European races. Raced in F1 as well, and was taken on by Ferrari, March and Matra. Retired to the family farm in 1976 according to my comic.

Sad news, a survivor of the deadly years of F1 in the 60s and 70s.

Should have been champion, but, Quote - "The unluckiest driver never to have won the F1 Championship"

Met him once, i thought him a really nice, down to earth "ordinary" person, would have been in '74 or '75 i suppose.

In a Ford GT40, very fast but a bit lethal like the Ferrari 275LM with a similar mid-engined layout.
