Tyre buying is complicated - CGNorwich
Went to my local Tyre Pro dealer last week for a pair of Bridgestone ER 300s. Their online price was £62.50 but they quoted me £79. After a bit of discussion they came down to £65 per tyre and said they would ring me back the next day when the tyres were in They didn't call and since I had to drive to York and in addition had a stinking cold I didn't bother to chase them.

I checked the online price today and they ar now showing as £80 so I rang back and they said they had forgot to ring me back but the tyres were in so I said I would have them done this afternoon at the quoted price

They put the car on the ramp and fitted the tyres and checked the alignment which they said needed adjusting.

Then all the lights went out. Power Cut! Car still on ramp six feet in the air

Walked home ( they did offer me a lift). Pick up car tomorrow. Not charging for re alignment.
