I'm off to the Alps early Sept for two weeks up n down those French mountains, so spent the weekend training. Saturday drove up to Dentdale, and today the quite Eastern Lake District fells. Probably about 200 miles driving and I don't hang around. Pretty quiet yesterday and an early start and late finish today, so equally quiet on the A65 & A6 and through Kendal.
Trip computer, which I zeroed yesterday AM, is showing 76.4 mpg, which even allowing for a 10% overread is pretty impressive. Nobody got held up, I drove at 65mph where possible and generally stuck to speed limits.
Pretty good for a 142k mile 2011 1.6 Diseasel Focus he says smugly.
