Has anyone here any experience of dealing with this broker?

Been around for years and I have not heard anything negative, but would be interesting to hear of any personal experience.

Thanks.

about 12 years ago. A very good friend had problems getting his money back after multiple broken delivery promises. Probably too long ago to be meaningful. Not sure how they operate now.

Drivethedeal used to to take only a small payment up front (£100?), balance payable on collection from the main dealer

I've bought four cars through drivethedeal now and they've taken no money at all on ordering. They take card details when you place an order on line, but don't actually charge the card. The dealer takes direct whatever deposit they'd usually take for a new car - used to be £500, but £1,000 seems to be the norm now. I remember when I bought the Merc they wanted a £2k deposit but that was the same for all main dealers, in my area at least.

BMW Dealer asked for 2k

Yes and Yes and it was the side of the bus

The "original" Broadspeed was a tuning outfit specialising in the preparation of saloon cars (especially Cooper S, but also the Ford Anglia 105E, later ) for competitive club saloon car racing.
The Broadspeed minis were liveried in a light maroon with silver stripes IIRC.
One John Fitzpatrick was a works driver for them and very quick he was too.
I was once overtaken, (at a minor airfield circuit whose name I forget), by him and Gerry Marshall, either side of me, (I was in in my original group 1 850 Mini).
Frightening stuff, they were mad bludgers

When was a Mini Cooper S a saloon? ;-)
 Broadspeed - PeterS
Surely minis are technically saloons? They do, after all, have a separate luggage compartment not accessible from the passenger one?
 Broadspeed - rtj70
So by that definition, my A3 saloon is not a saloon because you could drop a seat in the back and access the boot? But that applies to most hatchbacks too.

Ever since the day it rolled off the production lines. Its not a hatchback, its not an estate, it has two doors, it has a fixed tin roof, what else could it be
