Its a different world in Glasgow with this lot but the problem is that they are all now household names as the press keep reporting on thier activities.
They are being built up to be heroes.
On a bigger scale the message to some youngsters is that they don't need to stick in at school or do well, simply get involved in a life of crime and make your money there. Just make sure you have good lawyers.
Why should a 16 year old boy spend all his time studying at school when he can see 18 and 19 year olds driving about in blacked out Ranger Rovers etc??

Presumably the police have no direct evidence against Mr Garageman because it appears he has not been charged with anything.
Common sense tells you any family producing lots of drug-stained cash through crime will seek to clean that cash via a legitimate business.
Time was it would have been amusement arcades, launderettes, pubs or betting shops.
Perhaps all Glaswegians are stay-at-home grumpy teetotallers who never wash their clothes. :)
