Thought this might be important enough to put a warning on here.

If you are not affected, please ignore

Just read in the local press that they will be resurfacing & repainting the roundabout at M40 Junction 4 Handy Cross, this is one end of the main pre M25 link between the M40 and M4 as well as being key for us locals to access Marlow and High Wycombe.
For 3 weekends, Friday night to Monday morning, the roundabout and thus the motorway exits and entrances will be closed.
Weekend affected are February 16th, February 23rd and March 2nd.
Details still a little unclear but suggest if you have to travel that way you plan accordingly.

Really useful, thanks for the heads-up. I use the A404 & M40 on a couple of weekends a month typically when visiting family in Oxford.

I suspect Bourne End and Marlow are going to suffer pretty badly traffic-wise while this goes on.

Don't you think that we are intelligent enough to ignore it anyway, if we are not affected?

We don't need to be told to ignore it, do we, if we are not affected?

Thanks commercriver.

If you happen to hear what time the roadworks will be lifted on a Monday morning it would be handy.

It's the regular route for a 6am Bracknell booking for us!

Many thanks

They have a history of missing deadlines round that way...

There's 30 minutes leeway to make 6am Waitrose Bracknell without incurring a financial penalty for being late.

It's those penalties we have to pay that pays for your free posh coffee!

More than enough time to play football with my biscuits in the back.

I'm sure the link to this has been posted here before:

roadworks.org/

....quite useful, and with the roadworks timescale set to "next three months" supports/confirms the above.

Were you affected? No
Did you ignore it? No

So in answer to your question, I'm going with "No".

Commerdriver could have no way of knowing or controlling what sort of person was going to read his post, as you have shown:)
