 Insurance renewal - sherlock47
Whilst there are 2 other threads running on insurance, this link probably deserves its own thread to prevent it being lost in the maze of driftcrap.

This link makes for some interesting reading tinyurl.com/y8ovp78c

This could explain the prevalent practice of sending renewal information fairly late before the renewal date.

" LV told us: One factor is the gap between the date the quote is requested and the renewal date. Our historic claims data shows riskier drivers renew their policies nearer to renewal."

That's a telling comment. Is it perhaps slightly dubious morally to base motor insurance risk on factors other than motoring?
Why not have a personality test?
"Do you plan your decisions ludicrously far in advance, or do you leave things until the last moment?"

Of course as all dangerous drivers now know they should renew their insurance 21 days before expiry, the position will change.

Dubious morally? Since when was insurance a moral operation. It's simply a commercial contract. Insurers need to minimise their risks and maximise their premiums. Simple as that.
