Is the link connected to Sky and the Daily Mail?
It's about the same level of journalism. What has the picture to do with the content of the article ?

Did yu expect a picture of his front bumper instead?
Jammer User Banned and Fined - ....
May as well have for all the relevance it has. At least the front bumper was there.

gmac,

Don't click on the link because you'll only get upset - they've used a file pic of a speed camera.

I see what you mean iffy.

Car manufacturers and motoring magazines are not allowed to glamourise speed and here's the Daily Telegraph giving the impression of a bus speeding passed a speed camera through trick photography. Outrageous !

"Speed camera locators, like the one pictured above, are not illegal, ..."

Shreeve was found guilty of obstructing the police in their duty by interfering with their radar guns.

Yep, that's the spirit.
He wilfully and knowingly went out of his way to speed AND not get caught.

Our local yokels have acsee going through court at present - same story, guy gets nicked at silly speeds, and using a jammer.
Under the 'instrument of crime' laws, they are trying to confiscate his car.

Whats the Telegraph up to, it mentions in the sub heading about a Porsche driver being banned, but Shreeve was driving an Astra!!

"The offshore worker said he had done it to safeguard his job as his company did not tolerate employees being prosecuted for speeding."

Wonder what they will do, then!

Not the most clearly written story, but the polis is saying he first came across one of these jammers on a Porsche some months ago.

The guy with Astra is the first person to be prosecuted.

Very poor use of English! Perhaps we should refer them to some of our more pedantic posters?!

Hobby,

I've just read the story again.

The headline is simply wrong - the sub-editor who wrote it clearly thought the Porsche driver has been banned, when he has not.

Very woolly copy, although it is unlikely anyone would have been in Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court, so everyone is playing catch-up with the story.
