Xantia MoT'd yesterday. Passed with a slight tweak of OS headlight and an advisory on a CV joint boot. Ten years old today and racked up over 12k miles in the last year, including a vist to the Isle of Lewis. Went through a rough period in middle age but seems to get better by the day now.

£55 summat including VAT and hopefully good for another year.

I'd do the CV boot and then the CV probably won't fail next year.

My thought as well bt but I'd like to have alook at the relevant CVJ (and the others) before booking it in. Funny things advisories. In previous two years they've mentioned slight corrosion/abbrasion to brake lines at front. This year, no mention. Same garage and almost certainly the same tester.

I know where the damage is and it's not getting worse. It and the CV joint weakness are possibly a complication of the full lock manouvre neededto exit my drive.

...hopefully good for another year...

Should be, which is good news.

I don't suppose you want to be buying another car while there's uncertainty at work.
