www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11735143
Makes a change from the usual 1 to an Film Star who will keep it in the garage beisde his/her other 10 cars
Some are for GE Employees - would you want one as a company car?
Wonder what they're charging ?
Dunno but it will be a shock
Ther may be resistance from staff to having them.
Especially when they get it ohm
What, you mean currently?
As long as they don't perform a volte-face.
I wonder why the OP's plugging these, do you think he's got a connection?
>> do you think he's got a connection?
Nah, he's just plugging them.
There must be a electrifying deal on at the moment
Yes, just inducing an increase in the market capacity.
I wonder how much lead time they need for the order, and will it stretch the capacity?
I wouldn't want one as a company car, that's for sure. I'd re-fuse.
Good luck to them in the European market:
"Opel has today announced a price of 42,900 euros for the Ampera, the version of the Volt that will be sold by the German brand and its UK partner, Vauxhall. That equates to more than $58,000, considerably more than the $41,000 base price (before state taxes) of the Volt." Autocar 11-11-10
That price is a shock.
They'll need some buyers to have a bolt from the blue before that price is acceptable...
i wonder how much it would be to hire one faraday?
Watt?
I'll get my coat...
I would switch to another
Zookeeper's is best so far, to the exclusion of anionthers.
I'm sure the second hand prices will remain static
The marketing department are currently working to capacity on an ode to the designer.
No comment from henry yet.
GE placed the order.
I thought it might have been HERTZ
Modern design means that it will not require a choke.
The wife thinks it is super. Het up, she finds it difficult to choose the colour.

GE are a right armature company i wouldnt buy one
i bet they get phased out in no time
Wonder if electric cars will ever feature in F1?
Instead of the starting grid, they could use the national grid.

Never . Electric cars are best for commutators.
As far as i am concerned, in the fast lane that can just pylon by.
In a few years they will be useless when the lights start going out, due to lack of generating capacity in the UK.

At the price Chevy are charge-ing for them, I'm sure there will be amp-le unsold stocks. The market's pretty flat at the moment, not many people are switch-ing cars current-ly :-)
Call National Breakdown if you have an outage.
Wire you all wasting time with these silly puns?
Well, if you think it is appropriate for this forum, we have a potential difference of opinion.
I think the volley of puns is indicative of the general opinion of electric cars - that they are a joke.

I didn't get a bit too obscure with "potential difference" did I? Don't want anyone thinking I was serious :(
Don't worry - nobody was getting a little "short" with you.

Indeed not. The potential mirth generated from a few bright sparks brightens up a low entropy day.
Wonder if they come with runflats ?
Maybe we all have our wires crossed but I would still re-fuse to have one.
regarding the original post, it seems the car market is not static then.
