The X1 is built in Leipzig which is in the former East Germany - at least it won't leak anyway...:-)

I go to Berlin a couple of times a year. The office I visit overlooks the Spree from the old west over towards the O2 building in the erstwhile east. I still get a kick from arranging to meet people in the middle of bridges carrying a briefcase...

Have you been to Mielenwerk Humph?
You can get a beer or a coffee, and wander amongst the exotica...might do for one of your briefcase meetings!

How come Aston Martin demand premium price because it is hand made? I'd rather buy a Trabant ;-)
|
The Trabant builders must have been trained at British Leyland. :-)

"I love the Google translation"
I love it when instruction manuals have obviously been translated with google.
The manual for my little radio controlled helicopter has provided more fun than the thing itself.
• Please according to the manual's order to proceeding operation
• Please make sure that ambiences before fly
• The fanner and air-conditioning cannot blowing to airplane
and crucially
• If the helicopter was damaged, distortion, please repaired in time. Do not fly such as the rotor serious damaged or broken, otherwise it will caused injured.

A few photos from Mielenwerk a couple of years ago - mouse over the bottom of the screen if the start button doesn't appear.

Love the Trabby film - I'll send it to my cousin in Berlin. When I first went there about 10 years ago there were quite a few Trabbies running around. They've disappeared now, but there is a place that rents them out -

I was a little surprised to see an abandoned Trabant outside Ruby's Cowboy Buffet and Steak Room in Bryce City, Utah, USA. Bryce City would not make village status in the UK.
