Just a heads up that last night the A1 Northbound from junction 49 Dishforth, to Catterick was Closed last night, diverting up the A19 North due to roadworks that are ongoing.
It was last night, Im guessing that it may still be closed however there is plenty of advance warning from the dot matrix displays further south from the junction

Closed for some resurfacing all of Sunday according to the letter we received. It is open now.
I did not read the letter carefully so don't know which part was being resurfaced but I do wonder why they need to close the whole stretch from Dishforth to Catterick, especially as the part from Dishforth to Leeming is being upgraded to motorway so there are a load of contraflows etc.
I suppose it was all closed to make for 'sensible' diversion routes.
