It seems the rabies rules are to change 1st Jan next year.

The jab, then test, then wait 6 months before the dog or cat can be bought back into the country is going. In line with the rest of europe (except Sweden), it will just be a jab at min 12weeks, then a wait of 3 weeks before travel. Sweden is adopting (well,being forced) the same rules.
