1, Datsun, 2, Lotus, 3,?, 4, Alfa?

Lousy guess but only seen 2x of them.

B.a.s.t.ardo!

(he blustered furiously)

No 1 is a right hooker, not British so makes it an Aussie. Looks like a Holden torano, but they never made one with twin headlights. Cant be a Ford falcon either, tho it looks like a 68 XT, but they didnt have twin lights either!

I know the other three but will keep quiet to keep the thread going.

No1 has a British Leyland badge on the grille.

1/ Dunno , Aussie thing? Holden?

2/ AC Ace I think.

3/ Some kind of Ferrari saloon, or Maserati maybe

5/ Not sure, Bond maybe?

Think I might want no 3...

The lights are similar to Rover P8/P9 that never made it, but not sure that is a BL badge.

I think 3 is a montiverdi hi speed,

Stueys name that car :-) - Runfer D'Hills

Im sure its a Gilbern, model is passing me by....

Number 2 is nagging at me, as if I should know it...
as is number 3.... I deffo feel its Italian -by make or design... faint resemblance of the Triumph Dolly update by Michelotti

It's deeply sexy in an old fashioned sort of way. I think it would suit me...

:-)))

My definitive answers to two and three:

2. Matra 530 LX? (Source image: faimg1.forum-auto.com/mesimages/270299/Matra%20530.JPG )
3. Monteverdi Sierra, Baujahr: 1980 (Source image: www.classicdriver.com/upload/images/_de/4635/img04.jpg )

I'll have a 'think' about the other two...

I was going to name no.3 as some kind of Bristol but it's got 4 doors.

EDIT: Humph's cracked it anyway.

No idea on any of the others.
 Stueys name that car :-) - rtj70
I think you'll find zero almost cracked 3. I happened to post details from the site where Stu actually got the image in my post above (a Monteverdi Sierra). I did the same for two.

Feels like providing proof of workings for maths or physics A level.

1. Leyland P76
2. Matra 530
3. Monteverdi Sierra

Well done chaps, how about 4?
Stueys name that car :-) - Avant
No 4 registration YBT - Hull. Aren't Ginetta based in Yorkshire? That would be my guess.
 Stueys name that car :-) - stan10
agreed 1,2, and 3, how about Trident Ventura for no 4 ?
Stueys name that car :-) - Stuu
Close enough stan the man, I think its a Clipper though with the big V8 rather than the V6 Ventura, vents on the front wings are different.

Google Goggles worked out 2 and 3 for me. Hence knowing the exact images Stu used.
Stueys name that car :-) - Stuu
Problem with rare cars is that there arent alot of pictures about of any one car.

Ill work out another trio for tomorrow, ive got some evil ideas, that lot were obviously a bit easy :-)
 Stueys name that car :-) - rtj70
Stu, don't rely on Google and Internet sites. I found two with no effort using Google. I even found the sites you'd probably got the images from. Did I work out where you got them from? Or Google really... Goggles is clever.

Although Goggles didn't recognise the other two and not did it Ted's effort.

That#s 'cos I know you sneaky lot search the web for clues.

I scanned my picture from this month's front cover of the Jowett Car Club magazine...:-p

Ted you'd be surprised how good Google's Goggle's app works. I was in a bar in Greece last Sept and had a free Internet connection I'd 'found'. Took a photo of what I could see and it recognised it and pulled up other links.
 Stueys name that car :-) - rtj70
Just thought I'd test Goggles on some photos I took. Blooming clever!

>> . Blooming clever!

Blooming frightening is more like it.

I think the first is a Renault but a collaboration with another maker, possibly American, and not built in France. Second is a Matra Djet I think-lots still around over here. Inspiration over.

I came across this thread too late to identify anything, as the only one I would have got right was the P76 - it's either an Executive or a Super model with the double headlights.
