Standing up for integrity - bathtub tom
I was a pedestrian in a Surrey town yesterday. As I crossed the road at a tee junction (behind the first car), the second pulled up so close I couldn't pass in front of it. It was a Smart car with a camera used to penalize parkers in contravention of the rules. The driver pulled out his mobile and started to press keys.

I'm a firm believer that hypocrites should be hit hard and seeing someone who should be upholding the law, breaking it, I quickly whipped out my own mobile 'phone.

Seeing me, he quickly dropped it (and I hope it broke).

He couldn't have known my aged "handy" doesn't have a camera, but the next time I see the fat git do something similar, I'll no compunction in making an official complaint.

In retrospect, I only wish I'd got more details to report him!

You pay to live there? As well as paying for me to live here in comfort?

I would pay to get out of the south east, (and have).
