Bobbing whatsit after I had got the hang of it.

I misunderstood the instructions first go. I thought the aim was to stop them leaving the field but without hitting a sheep that was only feinting not making an actual run.
So I let them go until just at the fence.
Stupid - it's shoot first ask questions later.

3 sluggish L`escargots! for some reason i kept jumping the gun at sheep 4 and getting the 3sec pen!

Then i nailed them with a Bobcat! for an average of 0.216!!

Earlier today got a slow one and then a Bobbing Bobcat.

I've just done it again after a large drink and got another bobcat, average 0.337. I'll try again after a couple more and see if there's any change.

Not that fast reactions are the whole story for driving or most other things. Accurate ones are what you want, even if they are a whisker slower.

Right. After a second large one, taking me to the brink of legality or who knows, a whisker over, I am now a rocketing rabbit and my average time was 0.196.

Of course Iffy I remembered wrong in my last post and put 0.3whatever instead of 0.2... no accuracy there though, what? Perhaps that would emerge in the attitude test if everything went pear-shaped. But I am beginning not to give a cuss one way or the other.

I'm going to have another and spill over into slight tipsiness. I may be some time. Watch this space.

Now distinctly affected. Would more than hesitate to drive except in dire emergency (when I would be quite all right, though illegal).

First four on a good rabbit average, slower a bit but going well. Pressed the thing by mistake before the fifth sheep though so screwed up.

All right then. I will try one more time after food and another. Yee-hah!

Just tried again 14 hours later, with system clear of alcohol.

I have to confess that I got two sluggish snails in succession. Having pulled myself together I am back to bobcat status, 0.2204s average.

Were my use of this test to be regarded as a valid assessment of my driving ability at various fairly low levels of alcohol intoxication, the results would suggest I am safest when solidly but not extremely drunk, and more or less lethal when sober.

Shome mishtake shurely? Not really because the test is too narrow to apply to something as complex as driving. Amusing though.

I'm intriqued by this. You are the only person so far to have got past being a Bobcat.

Your dedication to the scientific experiment to keep us all educated is admirable.

In order to corroborate your results I intend to stay in this evening and repeat your experiment.

Can I have some of the Swear Fund to pay for essential chemicals?

I did, but only once, some time after 2am today. The other reference to rabbit speeds was a mistake. I get confused with all these furry animals. They were bobcat speeds, and anyway I stuffed it that time.

No, that was wrong too. I had done it twice, the first time at 9pm or so.

OK. From these data, being a bit ripped on alcohol sharpens my reactions and turns my brain to mush. Cool tradeoff, huh?

Pretty ripped, and reaction times reassuringly useless although the mouse pad was to blame for one of the two total failures out of five.

Findings of this unserious test inconclusive, but tending on the whole to support received opinion.

A trip to IKEA last night got in the way but tonight I've drunk an 8.3 unit bottle of wine to try and improve my results.

After half a bottle my result improved slightly but I then dropped the empty glass and had to clear up the mess.

After a whole bottle the results got worse. Looks like I will never be a rabbit.

I certainly wouldn't try to drive in this state.
