Im no fan of Mehdi Hasan, I find him a bit reactionary, but what he has said in this article and also many of the comments below are very encouraging. To be honest I never realised it was a problem, possibly many dont, so to stick his head outside his comfort zone and put this out there does raise my opinion of him.

Since it is inevitable that the vast majority of Muslims will sympathise with the Palestinians in their perpetual conflict with the Israelis, and given that to a layman like myself the Israelis seem to come across as whining bullies who wish to have their cake and eat it,I can understand this, although I certainly don't condone it.
