600 delightful little films now online - Crankcase
The BFI has (finally!) managed to make available 600 editions of "Roundabout" online.

If you don't know it, it was a long running series of colour films covering the sixties/seventies, each taking a snapshot of, well, British/Asian life really. Something for everyone in there I would think.

As an example, this one covers car making in Madras, traffic jams and how to deal with them, mattress making (they haven't changed at all), hat making (pretty girls), and a fashion show (more pretty girls and some seriously soaring strings).

All good fun.

Eh, can I have a borrow of your thread Clankcase, ya see, I want to watch this film again for the umpteenth time:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUEST-FOR-FIRE-Everett-McGill-DVD-new-sealed-R1-/380455769540?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item5894ee55c4

It was on YouTube for some time, but it's gorn now for some reason.

My question is ... is a site like this safe to use:

www.ovguide.com/quest-for-fire-9202a8c04000641f8000000005aa85bf

or, if I buy that region 1 DVD, is it a simple job to set my Panasonic Blu-ray player to multi-region.
