I tried and one location to find was Ascot. I clicked near it and was told I was 3544 miles out. :-)

It is a good idea but poorly executed. For example it asked me to find Woodford, so I clicked on area just south of Stockport (I am on my 10" netbook) but I was told I was 200 miles away, despite as far I am concerned Woodford being in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

It doesn't work as many towns have the same name. Newquay is another example, I clicked on the west coast of Cornwall and was 4 miles out, but it could have easily been referring to the Newquay in Wales.

I clicked on Dover....I was 233 miles away. I do know where it is, honest !

I think the ' hand ' is about 40 miles across....which doesn't help' ' Leigh ' didn't mean the one 20 miles from here, but Leigh on Sea !

Woodford is in N/E london. About 200 miles away from "up there"

As you know Zero, there's also a Woodford (with it's own runway and aerodrome) near Wilmslow 'up here' :-) British Aerospace no longer based there.... but originally home to Avro.

As you know, 'up there" its just one big place. It doesn't have names.

I was asked to find the town I am in at the moment....... clicked exactly on it

Still missed it by 4 miles.....
