Not sure if this program was networked last night but well worth watching if you are interested in weather, skiing , mountaineering. A fascinating insight into why some snow compacts , other snow doesn't and the consequences including real footage of someone caught in an avalanche taken with their helmet camera.
Also gives an idea of what the mountain rescue teams face at this time of year.
The un-asked question however is why do some people see whiteout conditions, warnings everywhere and think, yes, get my ice pick and lets go climbing!!
