Haste leading to a bit of bad luck. Perhaps they were in a hurry. Advancing tide caught them and perhaps they couldn't wait for a receding one which would have been much better.

Great little aircraft though, looked very user friendly and, er, chuckable...

Not exactly the brightest bulbs in the box are they? I wonder how long that will take to get back up and running? A wing swap shouldn't be too much of a drama, but I think it best if they leave it someone else or just move it in a truck.

They really should have either had an aiming point that kept them above the surf line OR waited for the tide to turn.

On a plane geek point it's interesting to note that Kiwi registered aircraft not capable of flying outwith NZ airspace don't need to show the ZK national identifier hence the reg is just shown as Oscar Romeo November.
