Red cross aid package, - Zero
Those lovely charitable people at the red cross must have been aware of my financial plight now I am retired, and sent me an aid package today.

Whilst I appreciate the usefulness of two cards/envelopes, two matching coasters, a matching bookmark and a pen (the pen was rather cheap and nasty - tho much better than the Barclays sheet), I couldn't help feeling the aid was rather misdirected for my needs are much more basic - Bottle of Gordons for example.

Still - all received with gratitude, It fills my heart with joy to know we live in such charitable times.

You did better than my ol' man, then, Zed; he's still complaining about the 'Help the Aged' envelope that arrived a couple of years ago - and when he opened it, there was nothing in it.

I get aid packages from my family, about monthly.

But its all about beans, cornflakes, HP sauce, cheese & onion, etc. etc.
