The motorised heavy lifting dollies Mammoet have never fail to amaze me. Railtrack have been putting in a new rail bridge near me. They fabricated the bridge on site but around 50m away from the final position. Then they brought in Mammoet to lift the finished structure into place using the dollies and huge vertical hydraulic rams sitting on top of the dollies. A real precision job, cm's either side to spare.

Excuse the rotten photography skills!

I'd love to work with an outfit like that. Ainscough are another impressive crowd and the heavy hauler guys, ABC i think they're called.

Inpressive skoda. When we used to tow the heavy lifting crane barges to various jobs in the harbour.I always admired the precision skills these lads had to have to lift heavy gear.

The tension of the wires the skill on the winch specialist work.Often underrated jobs by the public.

I thought they were lacy, frilly place mats to put under your cakes in the parlour.....but I might be wrong there.

Thanks, the bridge I mentioned near Reading was replaced with the same technology. Your replacement link does not work for me either but I can find Carfin easily.
