Surprised no one's mentioned it yet.
Former Coventry City manager and club chairman Jimmy Hill has died aged 87. During a long and varied career, he was a player, manager, chairman and broadcaster.

Love him or hate him, he certainly made some massive changes to the game:
*abolishing the minimum wage
* 3 points for a win
* abolishing the 'chattel' method of footballers' registrations and transfers
Rest chin Peace.

Course I know who Jimmy [the chin] Hill is, but the image which came into my head was of Jimmy Greaves, who I see is still drawing breath. I'm no great fan of footie, much preferring heavy/light heavyweight boxing but, not wanting to give Murdock any money, I have to rely on yuchoob 4 that. I have been to Millwall, Arsenal, and, um, Dulwich Hamlet matches - when they played at "Dog Kennel Hill" :o)
I can also occaisionally enjoy watching an 'alf-decent game of footie on my plasma telly, if only for the pretty colours.
RIP

You'd be better off watching beach volleyball. Lots of very pretty colours there. Golden sand for one....
