 Unflounced! - Roger.
Sorry to disappoint some of you!

Did some of us fear that you had flounced Roger? I'm pleased you haven't.

Nothing wrong with you that a different heredity and life parabola wouldn't cure.

:o}

I really am glad you haven't gone. Some interesting posts I seem to remember.

I shall try to be (relatively) uncontroversial, having realised that a goodly number of forum members are unlikely to be persuaded into the right path!
Seriously, as the oldest here - now I'm EIGHTY (groan) and we are on the dawn of a New Year, I think that forum unpleasantness is better avoided.

Nice to see you back Roger. At least it makes me feel like a relative youngster (53 :-( )

My father-in-law (just gone 70) still calls us 'the kids'... and I'm 52.

Long may it continue.

My girls will always be the kids, now approaching their fifties they are as cheeky as ever. :-)

My 3 still treat me as a contempory although I entered geriatricity today.

They've no respect for their elders :-(

"My father-in-law (just gone 70) still calls us 'the kids'... and I'm 52."

My father is 90, and enjoys telling his mates "ahr - an I'm gorra youth [i.e. me - 66] on the pension".

When my 83 year old mother is moaning about how everyone treats her as an idiot she says"You wouldnt think I am the parent round here" often in front of me and my son!
 Unflounced! - Cliff Pope
NB None of this is true - this is a soap opera and these are actors.

I don't believe Roger is really 80, but welcome back anyway :)

Congratulations, Roger. I don't think you're the oldest here, though.

I see I'll have to upload a scan of my dual language (Maltese & English) birth sticky-foot which shows my place of birth as King George V Merchant Seamen's Memorial Hospital, Valletta, Malta on the 19/12/1935.
(Father serving in the R.N. Mediterranean Fleet, mother accompanying.)
She loved Malta, as a Warrant Officer's wife, there was enough money for her not to work and she still could afford a cleaning lady. Life was beach & parties in those far off colonial days.
