I used to regularly collect from a company in Nuneaton which manufactured manhole covers. Fascinating place, but not so fascinating as you'd want to collect the things.

Blokes turned up yesterday to suck all the Scheisse out of our Septic tank, 50 yards up quite a steep slope past the house. No pong, not even a residual one (of course it's different if you peer into the tank when the cover is off). Took an hour or less.

How fortunate we are to live in a civilized well organised country.

The blokes are either from the council or from a contractor used by the council. I think we pay them to come, but it doesn't cost a fortune.
