the one I worked at in Cumbria (cat C) was more like a bloomin holiday camp than a prison!
Learn't some interesting life-hacks tho' on how to make things from virtually nothing! - like a kettle from two old aluminium ashtrays!

My late mother worked in an open Prison - I was amazed just how "open" it was. There was a bus stop outisde and you would often see the "residents" waiting to go out somewhere along with the locals
