The Court of Appeal judgement that resulted in the re-trial has now been published.

I was aware of this case, but not the full details.

What surprised me was that the victim never claimed to have been raped

You never read the other thread then. After he'd been cleared I for one stated my surprise to that as well.

This has ruined her life and messed up many others and cost a lot of money. And may have implications for other women reporting rape. Not a good case to have been brought.

Assuming he was innocent (sounds like he was to me*).... he only got the appeal and over-turned it because he had access to a lot of money.

* Morally though.... don't get me started.
