I met him about 25 years ago, a colleague and myself were having a working lunch in a pub alongside Loch Fyne. We were working with a submarine dived in the loch, he had spotted the periscope and as we were in uniform made the link as uniformed matloes are not a common sight in remote Scottish pubs. An interesting lunch!
