Just noticed this on the inside of my shed, attached to the roof. SWMBO wants me to get rid of it, but I'm wondering if it belongs to some other creature, or is it the beginning of a wasp nest?

A week later knock it off and bin it.

Start of a wasp's nest.
Remove into plastic sack into bin..No need for ant powder as only queen + grubs now.

Leave it for summer and you will have thousands..

Yep, Korean Bull Wasp...Huge..look at the size of the entry hole it's left !

Pack under the shed with paraffin soaked paper and set fire to it...can't be too careful ! :-)
