Sad event and no doubt shocking for the residents of the home, but one has got to be concerned about the security at such airports!

Its more regular than one would expect: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wheel-well_stowaway_flights

One wonders about airport security!?

Looks like most died. If they're not squashed by the retracting wheels (there's next to no spare space in a wheel well) then the cold gets them.

Even in Western Europe or USA I suspect it would be nigh on impossible to eliminate possibility of an intruder, in hours of darkness, getting to a remote holding point and climbing into a wheel well.

Crew obviously didn't spot the guy when they walked round to kick the tyres.

They usually fall on Richmond, not often in East london

There are a few residents of Clapham who would take issue with Z calling it 'East London.'

Misread it as "Clapton". Apologies to the unwashed of Clapham.

Guess he waited until they'd moved on.

Oh definitely, and timed with military precision to ensure that he wasn't spotted climbing into the wheel well by ground staff or other passengers on a bright Nairobi morning in the half hour between inspection and boarding.

Or the coffee at RyanAir. Vile stuff.

I guess you would have to be pretty desperate to stow away like that or simple not understand the risks of suffocating, freezing to death, being crushed or falling. Poor chap.

As I said, Richmond is the favoured dropping zone

Identified as Amin Yaflowerbed.

Friends described him as a nice guy, very down to earth in fact.

Surely he is on drugs or drunk!?

I can't believe anyone in their right mind would think they could hold on at 300MPH!

How sad and how different from 'developed' countries where public inquiries would be demanded on mainstream media. Humble and respectful people.
