The old boy has his last broadcast on Today tomorrow morning. A great shame he won't be round any more, the program is never the same when he isn't in the chair.

He has the well deserved reputation of being a bit of a Rottweiler when he's grilling the great and good, but he is polite and respectful at the same time.

My daughter was interviewed by him on Today. She admits to quaking in her boots when she found out it would be him. He gave her quite a hard time, but asked some very relevant questions.
