Emergency Crash Bleep at 3AM - zippy
Just a “shaggy dog story”...

Miss Z was s working on the Red section last night.

She has a two level bleep (what she calls a pager). Level 1 you call a number and get told you’re needed somewhere, but can prioritise if you’re already tied up.

Level 2 and the ward name is displayed and you run because it’s a major crash, like a heart attack.

So she gets a level 2 and pegs it from on end of the hospital to the other to find the nursing team armed with brooms and similar.

There is a seagull on one of the unoccupied beds and it won’t budge. They wanted more hands to help shoo it back out of the window and Miss Z is known to be practical having called the RSPB re a duck with a broken wing near the hospital pond two months ago!

No good deed and all that.. :-)
