I have a hard back copy of the above tome. It is listed for £195 on Amazon.

It was sent incorrectly and the seller doesn't want it back. They have refunded me for the book ordered and not delivered and confirmed by email that I can keep the wrong book.

I thought about listing it on those "we buy your book" sites but it is clearly not a best seller and the best price offered was £1!!!

I am happy for the book to go to a good cause. Obviously someone studying Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry would make use of it but I don't want it going to a student that could afford it with mum and dads help, but aiming for someone on a grant IYSWIM.

Donating it to a uni library is a thought but again it could be taken out by anyone.

So how do I get it to someone needing it, that would usually have difficulty purchasing it?

(Are there people in need studying this or are they already qualified dentists?)

Ask your dentist. He'll know where best to give it.

What did you ask for, a book you could get your teeth into, something incisive with a jaw dropping plot?

It's too warm for a coat...

Is it abridged?

To cap it all it could be something to read if you need your day filling.

Something similar happened me… ordered a second-hand book off of Amazon from USA for under a fiver delivered, received a very large Alexander McQueen hardback (fashion book) which apparently was worth nearly hundred.

Contacted seller to point out their mistake and ask what should I do, they made me double and triple check that I had the wrong book… happy to send it back BUT they needed to give me the postage first as I suspect to was going to be a lot …. still waiting two years later.

You could just keep it, and acquire more similar ones, for your background on your next Zoom call. Book collections seem to be all the rage...

It was still around when I was at school though some other journal had replaced as the porn of choice.

As somebody on my Facebook said a few months ago there's a certain nostalgia for the period when you found porn in bushes.

And vice versa too.......
