The email below is is from a large well known company.
I love the wording and the title at the bottom.

Dear Mr Henry
We are writing to acknowledge receipt of your recent email regarding improvements to our website.
Firstly, may we thank you for your comments, we can confirm that your emails have been forwarded to the relevant department and your comments will be considered when improving our website.
Yours Sincerely
xxxx

I would have put, at the very least a semi-colon, but probably a colon, after "comments".
"Firstly" - yes, but where is the "secondly"?
There are no commas after the salutation or the valediction.
