Chucking it down in leafy North Yorkshire this morning.

So much for the hot weather.

What's it like with you?

 Normal service resumed - Pat
Sunny & hot:)

...Sunny & hot:)...

Pleased about that, because by the time the farmshop's finished with your bank account, you'll have no money for heating. :)

Baking dahn sarf.

Promises to be hotter than yesterday.

Warm and sunny in Northampton. Might get a bike out later.

Overcast here in East Yorkshire but still warm.

Crossing the North Sea next week on the Ferry problaby gale force winds>:)

Same here in Wales, my bike might join Bromptonauts on the road this afternoon. Can't go this morning as we are picking Fudge up from a local dog sanctuary, he being about to become the latest addition to the family after his owner had to go into a nursing home.

Can we have a photo of Fudge please?

ASAP!

It's only just hit 20.0°C here in Leics, an hour later than on the last two days. Temp hit 27.7°C peak yesterday at home.

I've already got one load of washing dry this morning, one on the line and one in the machine - making the most of the final day of warmness :)

Warming up nicely in Reading.

Took dog out early (8:30) cos he's not very bright - runs round like a loony whatever the temperature - and of course there's loads of dew on the grass. So he came back soaking - might as well be raining :)

I've scrolled down RR but I can't find Fudge.

Have you renamed her/him?

Or have they removed him because he now has a home:)

I bet he sat in the car looking so proud of himself!

Fudge was there this morning - a right looking "lad"

I've been pruning climbing roses all day, I can't have missed him:)

Correction: I've sat in a garden chair and taught Mr pda the finer points of pruning with a glass of Merlot and a ciggie:)

Even Googles cache has deleted the photo.

Yes, he's been removed now.

We've kept the same name, he's a very placid dog and a tad overweight, but we'll soon have the excess walked off him. The main thing being he gets on well with the other dog who has perked up now she has a companion again.

Picking up Fudge nice name for a dog.We got our second cat Molly from a nursing home.Owners couldn't be bothered with her.

I miss cycling going across to Holland next week I'm looking for a second hand Granny bike to take back with me in the car.

Sunny and heading for 30C again here, for the fifth or sixth day. Supposed to be cooler by the end of the week. That's the supposed advantage of living in our part of southern France - the 'shoulder' months of spring and autumn are often very pleasant. The winters are usually colder and often snowier (?) than the UK though.

Cloudy but very humid here. Reached 28.5c here yesterday in what was the hottest day of the year.

Similar to Rattle.........Took the Note to the car wash but it was broke !

Came home and SWM gave me a No. 1 out on the patio..............Stop it ! I meant a haircut !

Ted
 Normal service resumed - Roger.
I haven't paid for a haircut for 35 years.
SWMBO does it and as I'm a short back & sides person, she does it well enough for me,
(She could cut it a bit shorter on the back, but she won't - says it makers me look too Germanic!).
Different generations; different memories!

Raining here now :(.

Just feel exhausted though but feel quite sad that there will be more nice weather until next year.

Garn live in a Mediterranean country then, it's like this most of the year.

Yes - we felt we were back in Spain for a couple of days!
Mind you it highlighted that the blooming climate control on the Alhambra is living down to it's reputation. With the air temperature set to "lo" the vents were chugging out hotter air than the outside ambient breeze!
Probably a gas leak to cure - endemic in these cars, I understand.

Evening meal eaten at patio table, something we don't usually do much after summer hols.

Overcast by 19:30 though so I suspect normal autumn will return by tomorrow.

On a driving note, commutes to station through mist filled lanes from Tuesday to Friday were a delght.
 Normal service resumed - R.P.
You've reminded me of some scenes from my France trip....we stopped in an "Aire" when we got off the train and could clearly see the white cliffs of Dover through a pinkish dawn mist....same when we crossed a dead calm channel on Friday - surreal shapes in the mist and the cliffs slowly growing in the distance....haunting.

Outside temperature here in the Fen at 3.30 this morning was 65 degrees F.

I nearly put the bubblewrap in the greenhouse ready for the winter last weekend too:)

You could have called for an ice cold can of One Cal Fanta and partaken of it sat by the pond:)

With assorted cats on your knee of course!
