I have a 3 year old Acer Netbook which I would like to carry out a factory re-set on to clear all the carp off of it which it has picked up over the years as it has been slowing down a bit lately.
How do I do this as obviously there are no driver discs as it doesn't have a CD drive ?
There is nothing on it which I wan't to save.
Thanks.

Hi, sorry forgot that bit. It came with and is still running Windows 7.

What model is it?

There will be a hidden partition on the drive with the base image on it, to be accessed by a holding a key down at power up. If you tell us what model we can find what the key is it.

There might even be a program on the start menu for it - I've just done my Samsung which has "Samsung Recovery Solution" on the menu. Have a look.

I can't see anything on the start menu. However after a bit of research I think that you hit F8 on start up before the Windows logo appears. Perhaps someone could confirm that this is correct ?

F8 is the windows start-up key, to rebuild you need to do

ALT-F10
